CLASS DESCRIPTION
I invite you to a physical, exploratory workshop where movement becomes language and the body is a responsive, living tool. Drawing from my experience creating Come Hell or High Water and influenced by my work with Penelope Morout, I guide dancers through tasks that challenge habitual movement and deepen physical awareness. Using improvisation, floor work, voice, imagination, and spatial relationships, we replace objects with internal focus—weight, breath, rhythm, impulse, and connection. Through short tasks, experimental “fighting monkey”–inspired exercises, and coordination challenges, we push comfort zones and organize the body to move freely through space. The journey moves from tasks to improvisation and choreography, strengthening both body and mind.
